1:1 Technology Program
We’re proud to announce that all ALA students will have access to a personal school-issued electronic device this school year. Middle school students (6th – 8th grade) will have access to Apple iPads and high school students (9th grade) will be issued Google Chromebooks.
In order for your child to receive an electronic device to transport to and from school, we require that you do the following:
Review ALA’s Parent-Student iPad Training Video (MS students only). This video is posted below and goes through major aspects of our 1:1 iPad program and outlines significant policies within our Parent and Student Technology Policy Handbook.
Pay a $40 one-time non-refundable deposit to the school. The deposit helps to fund the protective cases and any needed repairs for the devices due to common wear and tear. This fee should be paid online using your Charter Pay account. Students will not receive a device to take home until the fee is paid.
Read and Electronically verify the Parent-Student Technology Agreement form. Please go online at https://forms.gle/4dpcbeTTkUegtt4Q6 and complete the Google Form that acknowledges that you have read and agree to adhere to the Parent-Student Technology Policy Handbook.
If your child plans to bring their own electronic device, you are still asked to watch the training video to review the school policies but are not required to pay the $40. Personal devices are limited to iPads for Middle School students. Another tablet or smartphone will not suffice.
